FPA announces 2012 NSW Best Practice Award Winners, recognising excellence in financial planning.
 

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) was pleased to announce that Andrew Frith of Leenane Templeton Wealth Management, based in Newcastle NSW, is the NSW State Runner-up of the 2012 Financial Planner Best Practice Awards.

The awards form an integral part of the FPA’s mandate to elevate the status of financial planning to a universally respected profession and are a symbol of excellence for Australians seeking financial advice from a trusted, qualified and professional financial planner.
 

The awards acknowledge FPA members for the positive contribution they make to the profession throughout the year, and recognise the superior outcomes that FPA members can achieve when they provide professional advice in line with the FPA Code of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.

Winners and runners-up for the prestigious awards were chosen from the large number of submissions received throughout the nomination period, and the FPA is proud to announce the NSW winners.

Andrew, a Chartered Accountant and specialist in self-managed superannuation, has also been recognised in the past as one of the top 10 financial planners in Australia awarded by AFR Smart Investor.

Newcastle local Andrew Frith wins Industry Association Best Practice Award

Sydney, 16 November 2011:  The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is pleased to announce Andrew Frith, from Leenane Templeton Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors, as the Newcastle winner of the 2011 FPA’s Associate Financial Planner (AFP®) Best Practice Award.

The Best Practice Awards are intended to encourage and highlight the achievements of financial planning professionals who demonstrate their commitment to excellence by providing advice in line with the industry’s leading benchmark standards, the FPA Code of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics. 

More specifically, they recognise and highlight the achievements of financial planning professionals who achieve superior outcomes on behalf of their clients. This year marks the first time that the Awards will be awarded at Chapter level, in recognition of the diverse nature and needs of clients from different parts of the country.

“Financial advice is far from a ‘one size fits all’ service and these Awards acknowledge the variety of skills and specialist understanding required to meet the personalised needs of clients from many different walks of life,” said FPA CEO, Mark Rantall.

“Our FPA members are often active members of their local community and when they achieve excellence they deserve to be recognised as providers of a vital and valuable service that supports their fellow community members,” said Mr Rantall. 

Mr Rantall congratulated Andrew Frith on his outstanding entry, which included practical examples of advice given in a variety of client situations.

“In any profession it is vital to recognise ‘the best of the best’, those who upon objective analysis display high standards of professionalism, integrity and expertise,” said Mr Rantall.  “Andrew’s entry showcased the way his skill, knowledge and integrity translate into high quality advice and positive outcomes for his clients.”
