We are told by investment advisors that budgeting, saving and financial planning are the ways to financial stability in life.
But a study conducted by the University of Michigan's Dr Christine Stanik suggests differently for certain women seeking financial stability. Her findings found that women with a lower IQ are more likely to be attracted to rich men than more intelligent women and that this could be viewed as an instinctive urge to guarantee a secure financial future for any potential children. Dr Stanik has been quoted as it is "only natural" for women with limited education and career prospects to pursue men who are able to provide financial stability. She has added that "in ancient times, women evolved an attraction to men with wealth because they knew that such a mate could improve the chances of their offspring's survival". [For the sake of equality, we have not been able to find any similar research indicating what the behaviour is for men with lower IQs]
