The practice was originally established by Andrew Frith and a small team in 2000. The aim was to differ from the “normal” financial planning firms by offering a more holistic advisory service. With the teams experience they established a client centric advisory firm that maximised the best solutions for their clients. They wanted a family friendly organisation that recognised and valued the needs of staff and clients.

History plays a part in Leenane Templeton. Contrary to some beliefs, there were no original partners with the names of Leenane or Templeton. Leenane is the name of a County in a picturesque part of Ireland.
Templeton is the name of a prominent Novocastrian family who were active in establishing financial savings programmes in the Newcastle region in the early 20th Century. These were the forebears of Andrew Frith, the CEO of Leenane Templeton.
